Breaking Down With Lindsey Baruch
“I am an early riser! I find I get the most done and have the best energy waking up as early as I can. Every morning starts with some sort of meditation. A quick tidy of the house and a check to answer all my emails. I’ll take this time to handle any quicker work tasks at my desk and make sure my schedule is set up in my calendar for the day and the upcoming week. Here’s me at my desk with my dog sleeping on my couch!
”
“Coffee! Today, we went to pick up coffee. I got a honey latte, and my husband, Danny, got a salted caramel cream top cold brew.”
“I try to move my body as often as I can, ideally, daily or even twice a day for a walk, even if it’s just a short one. This morning, I went on a hike with one of my dogs, Cotta (short for Ricotta cheese!)”
“To the farmer’s market, we go! I am still seeing amazing tomatoes at the Farmer’s Market, so I will be buying those. It’s going to be hard to say goodbye to delicious tomatoes!
I’m buying some ingredients to cook dinner tonight, a recipe from my cookbook, Something Delicious! I’m cooking my Grandma Daisy’s Chicken Rice Soup. It’s a great use of end-of-summer tomatoes! Then, I came home to unpack my groceries.”
“Went to Sweetfin Poke to create my poke bowl with their R&D team for our book event on October 9! The poke bowl is inspired by one of the recipes from the cookbook. We also did some social content to share ahead of the event.”
“Since I’m traveling soon, I made a batch of homemade juice shots to have daily. This one is ginger, garlic, oregano oil, carrot, lemon, and orange, just to keep my immunity up! I used some carrots in the fridge that were going to go bad soon, a win-win!”
“Emails, computer work, and working on all the cookbook things! Since I’ll be taking off some time traveling for the book, I’m getting all my newsletter, content, and blog recipes scheduled and live so everything is ready to go!”
“Starting the chicken rice soup. It’s all in one pot and is topped with a scallion, serrano lemon topping! Served alongside a side salad and dinner is golden, and so cozy! Cleaned the kitchen after dinner was done. While I’m cooking, I tend to just do a final email check and reply to everything in my inbox.”
“Ending the night with some ice cream, TV, shower, and skincare, cuddles with the dogs, and a sleep meditation before bed. I’ll sleep around 9:30 -10:30 pm! Goodnight!”
