Shih-Pei Chen & Chia-an Chan (aka Faye Chen & GN Chan)
Lower East Side, Manhattan
We don’t even know where to start with Double Chicken Please. Are we allowed to give a cocktail bar a perfect, 10 out of 10? Find us here every Friday evening from this week forward, name on the list, munching on a fried chicken sandwich while we wait. Our expectations were high for DCP before we even set foot in the space. What we didn’t expect was to have our taste buds experience a kaleidoscope of flavors by some of the most genuinely creative cocktails that we have ever tasted. We were served what appeared to be a classic, extra dirty martini and took one sip and experienced the best [dirty] margarita we ever had. Got us sayin’ SHEESH. And when we opened our eyes after taking our first sip, we couldn’t even believe how beautifully intentionally designed the space was. If you take anything from us, DCP is the place to be. Don’t have a resy? A little rooster told us that walk-ins start at 5 PM and they’re opening up more seats for drive-by visitors.
